Toddler Storytime

Toddler storytimes are for children ages two to five and their caregivers. Toddler storytime is held every Thursday from 9:30 to 10 AM and consists of books, songs, and fingerplays. Presenters also give early literacy tips for caregivers. Lapsit promotes early literacy skills through activities such as reading, singing, playing, and talking. Rhyming books, songs, and fingerplays promote phonological awareness and vocabulary development. Children build narrative skills through interaction with the storyteller and text and learn that books and words are fun.  The only costs associated with toddler storytime are regular collection and salary costs.
